Camping:

Coopers Rock Camping

Description:

There are now two campgrounds at Coopers Rock. McCollum Campground is the traditional one that has been in use for many years. It includes 25 sites that are open to both tents and recreational vehicles. It has a heated bath house with showers.

The second option, Rhododendron Campground, is new as of summer 2017 and includes tent only sites located in the old "Picnic Loop". This facility is a great resource because it adds more camping options in the forest and is located close to the overlook area. There are no showers and the bathroom is a rather long walk to the overlook area.

These campgrounds are open April 1 through Dec. 15. Area Map (pdf), Coopers Trail Map (pdf).
