Description:
There are 5 miles of slow moving water from the state line to Bruceton Mills. The dam at Bruceton makes it possible to put in there, go upstream and then back downstream similar to a lake. Padlz, a canoe and kayak rental business, offers boat rentals at Bruceton Mills.
Directions:
Big Sandy Creek is located in northern West Virginia, east of Morgantown. This is an easy one. The put-in and take-out are at Bruceton Mills right above the dam. (Google Directions below). If you want to do the whole run downstream, there are two put-in options near the state line - State Line Bridge 39.719999, -79.660069 and Clifton Mills Bridge 39.696964, -79.618809
