Whitewater:

Valley Falls (Tygart River)

Description:

The falls are some of the last water left in the state when there are drought conditions. This spot includes a waterfall and rapids just downstream-class IV (V). Park and drop or run the 1 mile section at the falls state park. You can do the shuttle on the map with a vehicle or just walk back up the rivers edge.

Please Note: anyone hoping to paddle around Valley Falls must sign in at the superintendent's office before putting on the water. Stop on your way in at the entrance to do so.
