Description:

Class IV-V section with Swallow Falls just after the put-in. 3 miles with an extra 0.25 miles above the bridge if you hike upstream from the put-in. This is a great before/after work or winter run due to its short length. Many paddlers set shuttle for multiple laps.

Directions:

The take-out is on Oakland Sang Run Rd in western Maryland (Google directions below). For the put-in, go right on Oakland Sang Run Rd. for 2.3 miles until it intersects with Swallow Falls Rd. Go Right for 1.1 miles to the parking spot next to the bridge.

Activities:

Whitewater, Swimming Hole, Waterfall.
