Cross Country Skiing:

Coopers Rock

Description:

Coopers Rock consists of intermediate and more advanced ski terrain on most of the trails. Some downhill sections require a lot of skill. Great beginner skiing exists on the roadside trail from the front gate to the overlook (3 miles one way). There are some new trails located in between the day use lot and the interstate exit ramp.  These are perfect for learning skills or warming up . You will need 6+ inches of snow to ski on many of the trails due to rocks, sticks, roots, etc. No facilities (in winter) Coopers Trail Map (pdf).
