Mountain Biking — Coopers Rock / WVU Forest
This is the local destination for mountain biking with more than 50 miles of singletrack/logging road trails. Terrain ranges from the beginner (and newly finished) roadside trail to advanced technical trails. Area Map (pdf) Coopers Trail Map (pdf).
Directions from MorgantownEast on 68 to Coopers Rock Exit. Turn right and go .3 miles to a trailhead parking area on the right, .4 miles to the Henry Clay Iron Furnace Rd. that takes you 2.5 miles to the Henry Clay trailhead, 2.3 miles to the Raven Rock trailhead, and 3 miles to the overlook parking lot. To get to the northern section, turn left and then right on cr 73. .6 miles from the exit (top of the hill) take a left. Trailheads exist on both sides of the road for 1.5 miles. Other trailheads can be reached by going to Chestnut Ridge Park.
