Brooke/Pioneer Rail Trail

Description:

This trail, along with the Ohio River Rail Trail and Wheeling Creek Rail Trail, provide the greater Wheeling area a wonderful resource for biking accessed from multiple town centers.  The Brooke/Pioneer Trail is almost seven miles long and runs along the Ohio River from Short Creek in the south (northern point of the Ohio River Trail) past Beech Bottom and to Buffalo Creek to the north where it meets the Wellsburg Yankee Rail-Trail.  

Directions:

The Brooke/Pioneer Trail is located in the Northern Panhandle of WV.  There are 3 access points along the trail.  The Google directions below are to the southern access at Short Creek.
