Great Allegheny Passage

Description:

Wow. This trail system goes 150 miles from Pittsburgh to Cumberland. In 2006 it was finished all the way and linked to the C&O Canal towpath. These two trails together include 316 miles of trail all the way to Washington DC. For a long distance bike experience like no other, you need to try this trail system out. Seven different organizations have a hand in creating and maintaining the Allegheny Passage- Montour Trail, Three Rivers Heritage Trail, Steel Valley Trail, Youghiogheny River Trail North, Youghiogheny River Trail South, and Allegheny Highlands Trail of PA and MD.
