Description:
The Mower Tract is a special and unique place in the state. This is a spot high on the plateau of Cheat Mountain that has historically included the unique spruce forests of of West Virginia's highest peaks. It has been the focus of a reclamation project by the US. Forest Service and other agencies after being degraded by timber and coal mining practices. As a part of this reclamation, a mountain bike trail network has been started and will continue to grow. There are currently 6 trails with 8 miles of biking including easier, intermediate and more advanced riding. There are also gravel roads and logging roads in the area that increase the amount of riding available. Mower Tract Trail Map.
