Swimming Holes:

Meadow River

The Meadow River has many potential spots for swimming.  This river is very rocky and has rapids and holes for miles and miles.  Bubbie Hole is the easiest to get to, located directly off of WV Rt. 41. If you want a serious swimming hole adventure hike/wade upstream or downstream from the Rt. 19 bridge to scout for swimming holes.  This is a dangerous river at higher levels, the water level should be low for swimming - below 350 cfs or 5ft at the Nallen Gauge

The Meadow River is located in southern West Virginia just south of Summersville.   (Google directions below are to Bubbie Hole).  Other spots are upstream and downstream of the Rt. 19 Bridge - 38.152723, -80.925213
