Cranberry River

Description:

The Cranberry River is located in one of West Virginia's greatest outdoor playgrounds.  With some of the best backpacking, hiking mountain biking, fishing, camping and whitewater, this is a spectacular place. The Woodbine, and Big Rock Swimming Holes are the named and more popular swimming holes on the Cranberry.  There are also multiple spots on the river you can scout and have all to yourself.  

Directions:

The Cranberry River is located in south central West Virginia, near Richwood, in the Monongahela National Forest.  Forest Road 76 parallels much of the river and allows access to many potential swimming spots.  The Woodbine Swimming Hole is located at the Woodbine picnic site. (Google directions below).  Big Rock is located near the Big Rock Campground.
