Meadow River (Nalen to Rt. 19)

The Middle Meadow includes 5 miles of class III-IV whitewater.  There is a continuous section in the beginning called the Miracle Mile that boasts great play spots.  This is a great intermediate river, but does include a number of undercut rocks and potential pin spots.   See the American Whitewater link below for more details, including description and flow information.

The Meadow River is located in southern West Virginia just south of Summersville.   The put-in is located in Nalen at the Rt. 41 bridge (Google directions below).  The take-out is at the Rt. 19 bridge.  Put-In: 38.107140,-80.878796 Take-Out:  38.158254,-80.924856
