Whitewater:

Meadow River (Nalen to Rt. 19)

Description:

The Middle Meadow includes 5 miles of class III-IV whitewater.  There is a continuous section in the beginning called the Miracle Mile that boasts great play spots.  This is a great intermediate river, but does include a number of undercut rocks and potential pin spots.   See the American Whitewater link below for more details, including description and flow information.

Directions:

The Meadow River is located in southern West Virginia just south of Summersville.   The put-in is located in Nalen at the Rt. 41 bridge (Google directions below).  The take-out is at the Rt. 19 bridge.  Put-In: 38.107140,-80.878796 Take-Out:  38.158254,-80.924856
