Swimming Holes:

Williams River

Description:

The Williams River is located in one of West Virginia's greatest outdoor playgrounds.  With some of the best backpacking, hiking, mountain biking, fishing and camping, this is a spectacular place.  The Williams River has many spots to stop and take a dip, with many pools, rock shelves and small rapids. Forest Rd. 86 (Williams River Rd) boarders the river for 11 miles from Three Forks Bridge to the Highland Scenic Highway, so it is easy to find a spot just for yourself.  Campsites along the road offer spots to stay overnight.
