Sleepy Creek WMA

Description:

Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area includes over 22 thousand acres of forests and ridges along with a 205 acre reservoir.  This area is the largest tract of state land in the eastern panhandle and one of the largest in the state.  The valley and lake are isolated by Third Hill Mtn. and Sleepy Creek Mtn. that create the boarder of the property.  It is accessible only by gravel road, so solitude is the norm.  There are three campgrounds and seventy five primitive campsites in the area.   Sleepy Creek Map
