Canoeing:

Middle Island Creek

Description:

Middle Island Creek flows for over seventy miles from West Union City Park to the Ohio River at St. Mary's.  There are 7 public access points to the creek that allow for a wide range of trip options.  This creek is known as a great float fishing waterway that has a healthy Musky population.  One unique feature of this creek is four mile section called the "Jug". Due to the oxbow in the river, there is the opportunity to park at the put in, paddle the three mile section and take out at the same location.
