Description
This section includes 25 miles of class A-1water. It flows through Cumberland and has a couple dams to portage. The area before and after the city are more natural and secluded.
Directions:
The put-in is at the Allegheny County Fairgrounds (Google directions below). The take-out is in Old Town, WV on Rt. There are several other put-in and take-out options on both the WV and MD side of the river. This includes Wiley Ford in WV as well as Eugene Mason Sports Complex Boat Access and Spring Gap in MD.
