Description:
This is a 2650 acre lake that is surrounded by about 20 thousand acres of public land. The lake is extremely long and narrow, so is more like canoeing on a river. It has many shallow coves and few power boats, so great canoeing and fishing can be experienced without getting swamped by wake. Stonewall Jackson State Park offers canoe, kayak and SUP rentals. There are five public boat ramps spread out around the lake.
