Cheat Narrows (Lower)

Description:

This river section just downstream of the Cheat Narrows is a run that offers beginners a good place to learn and practice whitewater skills. There is moving water with some small rapids, rocks and currents.  (Class I-II). The run can be done in different lengths, with options for a one mile run to the old rail bridge or a four mile run to the Rt. 7 bridge. 

Directions:

The Cheat Narrows is in northern WV, near Kingwood. The take out is at the Rt 7 bridge(Google directions below).  The put-in is located at Pringle Run along Rt. 72.
