Description:
This is a really fun run that provides a good class III-IV creek experience for a beginner creek boater. There is a mile of so of slow water with a couple ledges. Then the larges slide rapid on the Little Sandy begins the continuous class III for 1.5 miles down to the Big Sandy. You must run the last few miles of the Upper Big Sandy, likely at high water level – class IV. 5+ miles. Map (pdf).
