Description:
This is a small fast tight and continuous class II creek for the first half of the run, with the second half including some A-I as well as class III sections. Good play spots exist on the last few miles. Put in on just the lower section and this is the quickest and closest run to Morgantown (The shuttle is short as well). 9 miles. Map (pdf).Directions:
The take out is on the backwaters of the Mon. River at Opekiska. Put in for the shorter trip is along CR 73-1 (across CR 73) underneath the I 79 overpass. Put in for the 9 mile section (from the take out) is back north on CR 73 for 1.7 miles and turn right onto CR 87. Follow this for 3.2 miles to a right hand turn on a gravel rd that goes downhill for 1.3 miles to the creek. (Google Directions below)Activities:
