Description:

The Lower Meadow is one of West Virginia's hardest and most intimidating whitewater runs.  It is only for the highly experienced boaters.  See the American Whitewater link below for more details, including description, flow information and directions.  5 miles (+ 5 miles of the Upper Gauley).  Class V

Directions:

The Meadow River is located in southern West Virginia just south of Summersville.   The put-in for this section is located along Rt 19 south of Summersville (Google directions below).  The take-out is on the Gauley River at Panther Mountain Take-Out at Masons Branch (Upper G take-out).  Put-In: 38.151100 ,-80.927498 Take-Out:  38.223000 ,-80.989998
