Description:
This is a great intermediate run with high quality surfing. There are a good number of class III rapids with one easier class IV rapid toward the end. The scenery is awesome, with mountain views and waterfalls coming in on the south side of the river. Class III
Directions:
The Dry Fork River is located in north eastern West Virginia, near Parsons. The take out is at an American Whitewater access in Hendrix, WV near the footbridge over the river. To get to the put-in, continue about 4 miles to the east on 72 to cr 26 that goes along the river. The put in (Google Directions below) is along this road before it leaves the river. An alternative put-in is upstream at Jenningston, but the shuttle is a lot longer.Activities:
