Hiking:

North Bend Rail Trail

Description:

The North Bend Rail Trail is one of the first and best long-distance trails in WV. You will find views of pastoral farms, small towns, woods, and hills. There are remnants of the trail's former life as a railroad during the time before the Civil War until the late 1900s. The 13 tunnels and 36 bridges highlight the 72 miles of trail from Parkersburg in the west to outside of Clarksburg in the east. There are 12 major access points along the trail.
