Chestnut Ridge Park/WVU Forest

Description:

The park has ponds for fishing and swimming as well as activities throughout the year. The WVU Forest includes the whole northern portion of Coopers Rock State Forest. There are five hiking trails that total just over nine miles as well as two gated roads that are about six and one half miles.  The most popular trail on in this area is the Virgin Hemlock Trail that includes a walk through some of the areas largest trees and along Little Laurel Run.
