Description:

Hiking trails around Fayetteville, WV are some of the most iconic in the state.  Stunning views of the gorge include miles of rock cliffs, the New River and, of course, the bridge.  However, trails also provide a great way to experience the forests, waterfalls and history of the gorge as well.  In the Fayetteville area, there are 12 trails that total 25 miles.  Fayetteville Trails Map.

Directions:

Fayetteville is in southern WV just north of Beckley.  Trailheads for hiking exist at the Fayetteville City Park (Google directions below), along the Gatewood and Kaymoor roads (Long Point and Kaymoor Trailheads), and on the north side of the bridge along Lansing rd (first right after the visitor center).
